Who am I ?

Me, Soraya

Nice to meet you.

I am a girl out of her time! And sometimes out of his world.

This girl is me.

I don’t really remember when, but ever since I was little, I thought I had superpowers and was born into a weirdly different family. I thought we were all mages. Sometimes I still think so today.

I was playing in an imaginary world full of fantasy and mystery, like most children at the time. The difference is that as I grew up I continued to play like the little girl before. Becoming an adult has always been relative.

I wanted to write stories. Of course, I had to give wings to my imagination. But I did not know how to write yet, therefore an impossible task to accomplish. So I started copying my older sister’s literacy notebooks.

Problem solved, a few months later, I brought my character to life.

So I wrote my first book when I was in kindergarten. It was a comic strip, with drawings and balloons. She told the story of a girl who made friends on her way to a road that led to the rainbow.

I will never be able to reproduce the beauty of the original comics.

In the same year I skipped class and joined my sister for the rest of our schooling.

When I was 13, I wrote another book. It was a horror book, with ghosts, a haunted castle, an adopted girl heroine, who falls in love with a tall, strong, muscular, and brave boy. An impossible love and a story filled with suspense.

I grew up writing letters, memories, diaries, blogs, pages and pages published on the web, always hidden behind a pseudonym.

My academic path followed my crazy ideas. I did advertising and marketing because I collected logos in a sketchbook and dreamed of being creative.

I studied journalism because I liked to play with words, tell stories and write hystories.

I did fashion design because I liked to dress my dolls in the clothes I made.

I did physical education because I wanted to sculpt people’s bodies by making them dance and jump.

I wanted to beautify people inside and out and make them feel more beautiful and comfortable with life.

And in 1998, an event changed the whole direction of my life.

To be continued

I am passionate about words!

Traveling in your direction, choosing the most appropriate one, depending on the idea, is drawing in my head the one capable of expressing the best emotion.

I love the magic of paragraphs and what they can say in a nutshell. I love comma games that have the super power to change an entire context. This seemingly insignificant little thing with a ponytail is breathtaking! It’s amazing, I have fun practicing to the rhythm of reading, the moments I breathe in and the moments I breathe out, like when we do sit-ups. No signal in the world helps us more than dots. Knowing when to stop is essential.
